We have been working with JCS Construction Ltd. since last summer when we awarded them the contract to build a large new house in Uphill, Lincoln. We needed a builder that we could trust to do a good job to the plans provided; to be regularly on site and available to us for regular progress reports; to work with trustworthy and reliable subcontractors; have a good attention to detail; who could combine modern and traditional methods with excellent joinery work; commit to a reasonable timescale and not let us down. The house is now practically finished and we are more than delighted with the result. It’s an unusual house with some very rather tricky features including a high proportion of oak in the construction – and we are exacting clients. Jamie Stocks has been everything we had hoped for in a builder and has been patient and good-humoured even during some of the most stressful parts of the building process. He really enjoys his job and takes a pride in his work, which shows in the results. Also, Jamie’s personal qualities of tact, patience and sense of fair play have made the working relationship so much easier for us than it might have been. We feel fortunate that we selected JCS to build our ‘forever home’ and have no hesitation in highly recommending the company to others interested in quality building and joinery work.
